Enrollment Information
Essence of a Lady
Incorporated is a nonprofit organization which created
Young Essence Ladies...Learning (YELL!) to provide
mentorship and programs to young ladies ages 6-19. We
offer an opportunity to empower girls to have positive
interactions in a positive environment. Through group
sessions, workshops, fieldtrips, and special events, we
help them understand the value of self-worth; teach them
to make better choices; and excel in every area of their
lives (socially, emotionally, academically, and
financially). Additionally, we encourage girls to
graduate from school and become productive citizens by
offering opportunities for service learning,
scholarships, job training, summer employment and
internships.
Open Enrollment is in September and
January!

and supporting our mentoring relationships has resulted
in lasting relationships, expanding programs and support

Parents are our Partners !
Parents and guardians are an integral
part of Young Essence Ladies...Learning (YELL!).
Helping us understand your daughter is important to us as
our objective is to supplement your efforts! Not only do
you provide information about your child's strengths and
needs, but you approve the programs your daughter
participates in her development. Once your
daughter is enrolled, we would like you to remain
involved in several key ways:
-
Approving programs and activities and
supporting your child's involvement
-
Asking your child questions about
program sessions and activities, and report any
concerns
-
Reporting to us on a quarterly basis
about your daughter's progress and milestones
-
Participating in special events, and
carefully designated activities offered by YELL!
through our mentor support organization, E'Ladies
Network.
-
Participating in our end of the year
Program Assessment to help us with continuous
improvement.
Remember: We welcome your feedback at any
time!
Your child's safety is very important to
us!
YELL! works collaboratively with school
districts and community organizations to

times. The safety and well-being of the girls we serve
is our highest priority. We strive to achieve the
highest quality possible in providing environments that
are conducive to learning, providing safety for the
